Statistics for Math Practitioners
Statistics is invaluable in every scientific field of study. The purpose of this online graduate-level course is to re-introduce students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. Students are exposed to the fundamental concepts and methods of statistics with emphasis on interpretation of statistical arguments. Topics covered will include an introduction to design of experiments, data analysis, correlation and regression, concepts of probability theory, sampling errors, confidence intervals, and hypothesis tests. The target audience is future and current math practitioners. Three (3) credits. Taught by Dr. Eric Malitz.
