Welcome to World Language PD
We offer fully online graduate-level courses in Spanish, French, German, and English to foreign language teachers through our accredited university partners, Northwest Nazarene University (non-degree seeking) and Adams State University. We are also an approved subcontractor to offer Professional Development Hours (PDs) from the Illinois State Board of Education.
We pride ourselves in the quality of our instructors; all of our courses are taught by experts with doctoral degrees.
Renew your Teaching License
Check with your state's licensing board to see if graduate-level courses issued by an accredited institution count toward your professional development needs, license requirements, recertification, or endorsements. You can also earn a PD completion certificate for the Illinois State Board of Education.
Enhanced Instructional Skills
World Language PD develops courses in alignment with national standards developed by leading educational organizations. Our courses will provide you with a fresh outlook on teaching.
Advancement on the Salary Schedule
Does your school offer advancement on the salary schedule for completing graduate-level coursework? Some schools offer teachers a lane change for reaching the Master's +30 designation. Check with your district.
Meet Minimum Qualifications to be a College Instructor
Many colleges and universities now require that instructors, including dual credit teachers, hold a master's degree in the subject taught or a master's degree plus 18 graduate credits in a relevant field. Have a master's degree in education but not in Spanish or French? Check to see if our courses meet your needs!
I was nervous to go back to school, but World Language PD turned it into a great experience for me. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. I plan on taking more classes in the future to renew my license. Thanks!
