Complete your master’s degree in as little as one calendar year through our partnership with Colorado State University-Pueblo. Take courses such as Spanish Cinema, Art & Architecture of France, and Advanced Spanish Grammar as part of your degree!

Meet your goals

This affordable M.Ed. degree was designed with World Language teachers in mind and is planned to impact the quality of teaching and learning in L2 classrooms by preparing master teachers with expertise in their content discipline.

Degree Requirements and Admission

Admission to the program is not a requirement to begin taking graduate courses. Students may work through our courses with CSU-Pueblo and then later apply these credits to the degree (students must select CSU-Pueblo when registering).

Master's degree requirements:
  • World Language emphasis: 18 graduate credits in World Language PD courses taught in the language of concentration (Spanish, French, or German).
  • Pedagogy: 9 graduate credits in World Language PD courses related to Instructional Technology, Differentiation of Instruction, and Literacy. The following 3 courses are required:
    • Technology in the World Language Classroom (3 credits)
    • Diverse Learners in the World Language Classroom (3 credits)
    • Developing Literacy in the World Language Classroom (3 credits)
  • Core/Education: ​11 graduate credits in core courses taken directly from Colorado State University-Pueblo. These courses include Teacher as Change Agent, Teacher as Researcher and Innovator, Leading Change in Today’s Schools, and Seminar in Education.
