Certificate Requirements and Admission

Admission to the program is at the discretion of World Language PD and Northwest Nazarene University. In order to apply, simply e-mail us your completed admission form once you have met requirements. There is no application fee.
*Please contact us for additional information regarding this certificate program, its requirements, and its applicability to dual credit/college teaching requirements. Generally, faculty who have a master's degree in an unrelated discipline must complete 18 graduate credits related to the discipline in order to teach at the college level. To maximize acceptance, make sure that all of the graduate courses you select as part of this certificate are taught in the language you plan on teaching. Courses offered by World Language PD in conjunction with NNU lead to academic graduate credit and are applicable to our graduate certificate in World Languages; however, they are not applicable to NNU graduate degrees. This certificate is not part of a teacher education/licensure program. In the event that NNU offers differing information, the information from NNU prevails. Requirements are subject to change.
- World Language emphasis: 18 graduate credits offered by World Language PD in conjunction with Northwest Nazarene University in Spanish, French, German, Japanese, or World Language Pedagogy courses.
