Spanish and Latin American Cinema
This online graduate-level course provides an introduction to films of Spain and Latin America beginning with the silent period and ending with contemporary creations. Historical circumstances will be taken into account so that the student is able to understand what film reveals about Spanish and Latin American thought and culture. In addition to discovering the cultural and historical background to cinematographic constructions, students will design a lesson plan that appropriately incorporates course material into the L2 Spanish classroom. Three (3) credits. Taught in Spanish by Dr. Jeremy Bachelor.
